“I love color,” Julieanne says, “I can taste color.” She likes to layer colors to provide depth to her art. Animals peek coyly out of corners, emerge subtly from camoflaged background, or boldly take center stage. “There are meanings and messages assigned to animals in most cultures.”
High-quality prints will be sold at the Feb. 9 opening, with 30% of the proceeds going to benefit the library. Orders for prints will be taken any time throughout the exhibit, which will be displayed until the end of March.
