It seems there is a lot of interest in making downloadable ebooks available to our patrons. Irv Faunce is kicking off an event to raise money for the subscription. At this time, Ebooks are only readable by Barnes & Noble Nook readers, Sony ereaders and other applications that can read the Adobe PDF book format. Note: Apple and Kindle devices are not supported at this time. Go to the Maine Infonet Download Library to learn more about ebooks and downloadable audio books.
But it’s not just ebooks. There is a whole library of free audio books to download, as well! Most audio books can be played on a wide variety of mp3 players and all computers.
