Rug Hooking will be demonstrated on Sat. Nov. 16 at 10 am at the Wilton Free Public Library. Rug Hooking is at least 150 years old, with its start in New England and Atlantic Canada. As the craft spread, the punch needle was invented as a faster way to hook. Pat Lawrence, an Oxford punch needle teacher, will demonstrate both traditional and punch needle rug hooking.
If there is enough interest, a local rug hooking and fiber arts (hooking, knitting, spinning, quilting, etc) will be formed. Call Pat with questions @ 491-9623.
