An all new collection of Julieanne Reed’s paintings are hanging in the library until the end of September. The opening will be Wed., Aug. 28, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. High-quality prints will be sold at the opening, with 30% of the proceeds going to benefit the library. The Literary Group met in the middle of Wilson Lake Tuesday night, with a flock of loons circling the boat and a full moon rising over the head of the lake. The August Literary Group will meet Tuesday the 20th at 6:00 p.m. Be at the Wilton boat landing (behind Calzalaio’s) at 6:00 for a ride on Betty’s party boat, or drive directly to the camp. Directions: Take Hwy. 2 west past the cemetery and turn right onto Pond Road; go 500 ft. and turn right on Camp Road; go all the way to the end of the point and watch for Shibles sign. Wilton was bursting with people for the 31st Annual Blueberry Festival August 2nd and 3rd. For the first time, the library had an entry in the parade (see photos here), at which 19 people participated; post-parade activities included painting, a treasure map. a guessing jar, and a magic show.
